Happy Birthday Challenge

Hello all! It is time again to vote for some designs on Minted!

The voting opened a couple days ago, so I am not sure how long you will have. If you have the time and deem my designs fabulous enough...please vote them each a '5'.

Thanks!

AP Photography

I know it sounds like a class that you took as a senior in high school to get college credit, but it is WAY better than that!

One of my BEST friends, Anne Peterson, has decided to start her own photography business on the side. (About time, I say!)

So instead of getting actual work done yesterday, I spent time creating a logo for her. When I asked her for some guidelines, all she said was something circle-y and somewhat symmetrical. Which is great because before she even said anything, I was thinking of creating something that looked like a camera lens.

Here is what I came up with.

and here are a few photos from her portfolio and click here to see more at her new blog

In a very rare moment over 4th of July, she handed her uber-fancy camera to me and I took this picture of Anne and her daughter Ayla. Aren't they just beautiful!

Fab Forks

While wandering around the internet the other day, I found these Vintage Silverware Bride and Groom forks at BeachHouseLiving's etsy shop. They totally stood out to me because my mom is big into silverware (she is a super bargin & garage sale shopper, finds silverware and sells it on ebay). Growing up, there was always silver polish floating around the house and each of us three girls had a full set of silver plated silverware kept in beautiful wooden cases by the time we graduated from high school. (I am still saving up to purchase a sterling set for myself…some day.) So you can see why this idea really struck a cord with me. I only wish I found this idea 5 years ago when I was planning my own wedding!
