What I've been up to.

Well I am sure you all noticed that I don't post quite as frequently as I should/used to.

The world of inkblot has been in a whirlwind of designs, weddings, designs and more weddings.

Here are some designs I've been working lately. (Some are rejects and some made the cut, but I like all of them just as well!)

For those of you that are wondering about the FAB new font that is featured in these designs, it is Burgues Script.

Also I bought this on etsy! I can't wait to get it in the mail and see what my name and address look like! (It is on its way.so the tracking email from USPS told me). Now I will have to start mailing more letters just to have an excuse to use this!

...and they're off!

Well, for the last week and a half, I must say, I’ve been just a bit obsessed with Minted's 2010 Holiday Card Spectacular Challenge. I had so many ideas and so little time to make them all a reality!

Here are a few designs I did come up with. If you would like, please feel free to rate my designs (a '5' please!) to help move me to the second round of voting!

Oh So Unique

One of my favorite paper blogs out in the world today is oh so beautiful paper.

She posts daily inspiration and this one just jumped out at me.

I absolutely love how this non-traditional invitation just stuns the viewer.
Enjoy!

NSS New Product! Lucite Invitations

One of the great and wonderful things that I’ve been wanting to do for awhile is produce Lucite Wedding Invitations. They are so elegantly modern and super unique.

This year, at the National Stationery Show, I finally found a manufacturer that can take my designs and put them on Lucite. (I’ve found invite companies in the past, just never any that would produce my custom designs)

I am anxiously awaiting my Lucite kit so I can show all the color samples to my friends, family member, clients…and strangers walking down the street…yes I am that excited about them.

Since I have yet to actually design a Lucite Invite (I love the way that rhymes, yes I am that big of a dork) here is a photo of a stunning lucite invite I found at EllyB Events’ Blog

They were designed by Lela New York

Love them!

Father's Day: Less than a month away!

Ok, sorry it has been so long since my last post! I had a whirlwind past two weeks from my NYC trip, the National Stationery Show, and then jet-setting it to Des Moines, IA for a wedding reception of a very good friend of mine.
I have a full re-cap of the National Stationery Show that I intend to post ASAP.
In the meantime, I thought I would post a few fun father’s day finds. (Some are a bit more adult that the others)

NYC – Day 1

Well my good friend (and event planner extraordinaire), Mindell, and I flew to NYC yesterday and we are having a blast! (After we got over the whole getting up at 4 AM to catch a 7AM flight…not so much fun).

The National Stationery Show doesn’t start until Sunday so we decided to start the weekend early with some shopping!

After arriving at our hotel and learning we were upgraded to a suite (Yippy!), we hit the town. I bought this lovely dress from Anthropologie. Yes, you see correct there are kittens on the dress…I’ve named two, fluffy and…well…shoot…I can’t remember the other, I had a few cocktails last night. Ha!

So obviously we had a good time in the evening. After we changed into our new dresses, we went out to 230 Fifth, a Rooftop Lounge, and the over to 20th & Park to a little French restaurant. Everything was delicious!

Today is looking absolutely beautiful! The day should be filled with all kinds of lovely adventures and my sister came down from Boston to share them with us as well!

I’ll be keeping you posted….and I promise to take photos to share as well!
